DIAN KOUM KÖ: Empowered Women, Strong Communities
Supported by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) as part of the La Francophonie avec Ellesprogram, this project aims to empower 200 vulnerable women (100 rural refugee, returnee, and host community women, and 100 single mothers and young mothers) in N’Djaména and Goré.
In response to challenges such as poverty, limited access to resources, and gender inequalities, the project adopts a holistic approach : :
- Technical training (sustainable agriculture, processing of local products, business management);
- Material and financial support (agricultural inputs, cash assistance);
- Creation of processing units and women-led cooperatives .
Awareness-raising campaigns on women’s rights and leadership workshops viennent renforcer l’inclusion sociale et politique des bénéficiaires.
À terme, le projet permettra de create or strengthen 200 income-generating activities, improve women’s incomes, and raise awareness among 10,000 people about women’s rights and gender equality, contributing to lasting community transformation.
